You will be staying initially in a luxury riad in Fes, the holiest Islamic city in the country. You will be exploring this city and it’s incredible history, with time to spend in the markets, the tanneries and the Merenid Tombs spectacular panoramic views of the city. You will then travel towards Chefchaouen, situated in the north of the country and sporting a beautiful history and an incredible relaxing atmosphere. This city is very romantic and you will have a few days to relax here, exploring the city and spending time with your partner. You will also travel towards the Roman ruins of Volubilis, sprawled over a wildflower-dotted hillside, travelling through Casablanca also. You will have time to spend in the Roman baths, taking in the colours of the stunning mosaics and basilicas. From here you will travel to Marrakech, where you will travel through the city guided by an expert through the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tomb and the Jewish mellah. These sites are incredibly beautiful, and of great historic and cultural significance to the country. You will have plenty of time in Marrakech to relax and explore, visiting the souks, riding camels or simply relaxing in the numerous cafes or restaurants that line the streets. You can spend your nights in the Djemma el-Fna square, eating the beautiful barbecued food an enjoying the live entertainment of snake charmers, moneys and berber acrobats. From here, you will travel to Essaouira, a city famed for it’s incredible beaches and fresh seafood produce, where you will be able to ride horses and camels along the beach and practise your surfing with local instructors in the waves or simply relax and enjoy rooftop tea watching the waves. You will spend a full day here relaxing, enjoying the sunshine and dining in luxury. On the return trip to Marrakech, you’ll travel through dense forests and past Berber villages, possibly stopping to enjoy tea with a local family. You will stay overnight at the luxurious Kasbah Omar, and the following day continuing to explore the area with a walk through the Ourika Valley. This valley is gorgeous and unspoiled, riddled with birds singing and water running through the river. On this day you will also have a 45 minute Moroccan Hammam, a traditional steam bath, and a massage before returning home the following day.
