Association Mqourn

This organisation has a focus on assisting in the restoration, development and protection of historically and culturally significant sites in the community of Tinghir, and we are proud to work with them to help promote the region and it’s growth.

This organisation helps to restore the historical sites for future use and to educate the community, country and their visitors about the importance and beauty of the sites.

They also help with the protection of these sites, using education to promote an understanding of how to and why we should protect the sites in Tinghir, and we work closely with them on this also, using their knowledge and information in our guided tours through the area.

Many of the locals are involved in these projects as their income is directly linked to the sites, which generate revenue through tourism, meaning the restoration and protection of them also assists in protecting the community and empowering the local residents.
We believe the protection of our tourism destinations is crucial to the ongoing growth of Moroccan tourism, the country’s economic stability and the empowerment of the people and communities local to these sites. The work of this association, we believe, helps to drive the tourism economy both naturally and sustainably, allowing us to operate throughout the Tinghir region without even so much as considering that we might be impacting the sites, community or economy negatively.

Our partnership with this group has also opened up many connections with the community here, and we are proud to work closely with the native people on our mission to educate and explore, and in turn, empower.
