A group who aim to assist the physically handicapped in Tinghir and it’s surrounding area, this organisation currently operates both through educational resources and logistical solutions. They help in the provision of education and training of the handicapped, focusing on handcraft trades that allow the affected individuals to become financially independent and form social bonds with other craftspeople and the communities in which they live, and help with their sense of self worth through selling and promoting their crafts also. As well as this, they provide physiotherapy and other forms of pain relief to those affected to improve their quality of life, and free of charge transport to other regions in the area to allow visits for those who would otherwise not be able to. We believe the group’s one-on-one connection with the community drives the growth of a healthier community, and their contribution to the craftwork assists in the economic livelihood of not only the individuals, but the region as a whole.
